Our Objectives:
To inspire, enthuse and entertain children of all ages through literature and the arts;
To encourage children from all backgrounds to read books, own books and visit their local library;
To promote World Book Day.

Our Goals
Maidenhead’s Big Read, organised by Maidenhead Community Book Festival, will help:
improve the educational attainment of children in our schools through reading;
bring families and neighbours together to share books, stories and activities;
increase reading and associated well-being in our community;
children develop a love of reading.

Inspiring Young Readers
We are proud to be working with a number of local schools to bring reading and books to life, inspiring our young generation. Several authors, illustrators, poets and story tellers are sharing their passion for reading, writing and drawing with children during our online events with schools in Maidenhead.
